In my early school days, I hated writing and making stories. Ten years later I started to enjoy it. Since then I have published some articles abroad and then I moved to the Internet, where I contributed to the most important sites on the Internet as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote too many blogs that have disappeared. over the years. I've been riding with the team since 2013 and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and audio, but also with smartphones, streaming services and digital cameras. In an interview with Eurogamer, Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart assured fans that the company is doing well following the news that it will no longer be developing Armored Warfare. He made some interesting points about , and the challenges of developing a project as large as Armored Warfare.
Armored Warfare Gamescom Presentation
"What we've learned is that we'll probably never make a game like this again. It's more than an indie developer can handle unless the developer grows bigger and takes in all the other aspects of the business: jobs, services, life. jobs. , etc. "All those things sound, but what's more interesting for us, and for me, is to focus on making a game. When a studio starts focusing on those other things, you'll soon have a lot of meetings every day that aren't related to game development. "So the answer here is that we love making games," he added, "but the challenge of making a big MMO is that you can't [let] yourself be drawn away from the games industry."
Obsidian is not known for creativity; Armored Warfare was their first, and it was a learning experience. Urquhart's comments show why many studios are reluctant to invest their resources in the development and maintenance of . Obsidian probably won't commit to another MMO project, at least not anytime soon.
And don't worry, Pillars of Eternity 2, like other unannounced Obsidian projects, could be good.
I recently wondered how Obsidian Entertainment would handle the ongoing development of Armored Warfare. As a AAA company that already knows how to develop single-player RPGs, it surprised me that it would make something like World of Tanks to begin with. In addition, the company currently has other projects in development, all of which are more than usual.
Armored Warfare (video Game 2015)
It was announced on Saturday that Obsidian will not be handling the ongoing development of Armored Warfare itself. But My.com will take over as the developer of the game for the foreseeable future.
At Obsidian, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to create Armored Warfare over the past four years. We are proud to introduce Armored Warfare to the talented developers at My.com who, we know, will provide new content and content to Armored Warfare fans around the world. Our focus at Obsidian will be on currently announced games such as Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, Tyranny and Pathfinder: Adventures along with other unannounced projects. We're proud of everything we've done on Armored Warfare and want to thank all of our dedicated fans for their participation and support.
We appreciate all contributions from everyone on the Armored Warfare development teams, past and present. The Armored Warfare development team continues to develop current and strategic plans and is dedicated to consistently delivering experiences to our global players.
Those interested in testing Armored Warfare's upcoming 15v15 PvPvE mode, Global Operations, can do so now on the Public Test Server. Global Operations is an attempt to introduce "big, intense battles" where players can restart and the original objectives can be changed. Secondary objectives, called "wild cards," can "change the shape and direction of the battle in interesting ways."
Gettysburg: Armored Warfare Review
Tanks: an AI-controlled unit that fires anti-tank guided missiles at enemy forces. Air Raid: A powerful B2 sniper attack that flies out of the ground to destroy enemy lines! Supply Point: allow resupply of ammo without reloading.
Currently, the only global map available was "Desert Crossing". The scene for this map is "two mercenary forces and their local allies fighting over a large dry wall with an aircraft carrier."
My.com and Obsidian Entertainment announced today that Armored Warfare will be getting a new mode called Global Operations sometime in the future. Global Operations is a massive 15v15 PvPvE mode that allows for rebuilding and ever-changing scenarios in the primary objectives. The mode will provide even more maps than those found in Armored Warfare, the first being a desert map called "Desert's Crossing".
The Global Operations mode will also feature "Wildcards", special targets that, once captured, allow the team that captures them to call in assets such as the Air Force, tanks or surveillance drones.
